Council received a formal request from a local resident for the Closure and Sale of West Creek Road, Langhorne Creek between Mosquito Creek Road and McAnaney Road.

As per Council’s Formal Motion (C23315) on 18 September 2023, Council investigated this request including:

• The required process to close and dispose of the section of road.
• Costs involved in the Road Closure process.
• Potential sales price of land disposal.
• Investigation into current;
• Traffic movements;
• Existing services and potential easements;
• Access to adjoining properties to ensure not creating land-locked parcels/allotments, and the need for easements for access purpose; and
• Value to community to close and dispose of this land.

As part of Councils investigation into this Road Closure Request, Council are undertook traffic data and gathered community feedback to determine the traffic usage and overall impact that this road closure would have on the community.
