What does it meant to revoke the old Community Land Management Plan?

In accordance with Section 198 of the Local Government Act 1999, Council must also undertake consultation to revoke (to cancel or replace) the current Community Land Management Plan, as only one Plan can be current at one time.

    What does 'Exempt Land' mean?

Land parcels that are exempt from the Community Land classification are generally used as operational land and include wastewater treatment plants, Council deports and landfills. Exempt Land do not form part of the Community Land Management Plan as they are exempt from being “Community Land”. The majority of existing land is Community Land.

    General Information about the Plan

The Plan will ensure Council has prepared a well-considered, comprehensive, clear and transparent approach to the management of land that meets the Council and the communities best practice principles and targets. A well-drafted Community Land Management Plan can become a facilitator of activity on community land rather than a restraint.
