Alexandrina Sustainable Agricultural Round Table (ASART) are hosting an Agricultural Weeds Workshop.
Date: Thursday 28 February 2019
Time: 3.30pm for afternoon tea followed by forum from 4pm – 6.30pm
Venue: Alexandrina Council Chambers, 11 Cadell Street, Goolwa
This workshop is an opportunity for local land managers to provide input on agricultural weed prioritisation within the Alexandrina Council region. The workshop will be facilitated by Kerri Muller of Kerri Muller NRM and include presentations from:
Alexandrina Council
Victor Harbor Agribusiness Reference Group
Natural Resources SA Murray Darling Basin
The presentations will be followed by a weed mapping workshop. Key questions will include:
What is the per hectare cost of weed control on your property?
What impacts do weeds have on your agricultural land?
What are your top priorities for agricultural weed management i.e. priority areas and species?
For your top priority weed or target area, what types of activities would a successful control program need to include?
What knowledge gaps do we need to fill?
