Walter Newell Reserve is a Council-managed urban biodiversity reserve located on Ferguson Road in Goolwa Beach. See a map of the reserve. The draft Vegetation Management Plan has been developed to guide Council’s restoration and maintenance of the reserve over the next 10 years. The draft Plan also addresses:
maintenance of the adjacent roadside vegetation on Ferguson Road;
maintenance of the walking path which travels along the eastern boundary of the reserve, connecting Ferguson Road with Merrett Avenue; and
what Council will do at Walter Newell Reserve each year to manage the risk of fire.
Consultation closes at 5pm on Wednesday 22 October 2014
Community Drop-In Session:
If you have any questions about the draft Walter Newell Reserve Vegetation Mangement Plan , you are encouraged to come along to a one-off community drop-in session to speak with a Council staff member and Paula Sanders from EAC Ecological Evaluation who helped to prepare the Plan.
When: Thursday 16 October 2014 at 2.00pm - 4.00pm.
Where: Council Chambers Foyer, Alexandrina Library and Customer Service Centre, 11 Cadell Street, Goolwa.
