‘Alexandrina Through Your Eyes’ invites community members to share photographs and short reflections of the natural places that support their wellbeing — places where they feel calm, connected, grounded or inspired.

These contributions will form the foundation for a community-led exhibition and storytelling initiative celebrating the healing power of local landscapes — from beaches and wetlands to walking trails, quiet parks, and wild bushland.

The project recognises that nature plays a vital role in physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, and that these connections are deeply personal and diverse.

Who can participate?

This project is open to all community members, regardless of age or photographic experience. We particularly encourage participation from:

  • Young people and students
  • Elders and older adults
  • First Nations community members
  • Artists, nature lovers, and everyday residents
  • Local groups, carers, and wellness organisations.

Read the Terms and Conditions for further information.

‘Alexandrina Through Your Eyes’ is part of the broader project Wellness in Nature’, which is funded through an Age Friendly SA Grant from Office for Ageing Well. Find out more about the Wellness in Nature project here: Our Older Adults | Alexandrina Council.
