Project update
Council received and noted the 'Mount Compass Recreational Vehicle (RV) Park - Expression of Interest (EOI) Outcomes' report. Council received only one EOI and that submission required Council to fund the construction of infrastructure which was not within the scope of the EOI specification.
Council resolved not to proceed with the non-conforming EOI submission for the management of a RV Park at 28 Victor Harbor Road, Mount Compass, adjacent to Sam Court, and to formally decline the offer. Administration will provide a further report on the process, costs and consideration of Council developing and managing a RV Park.

About the project
Over the past two decades, Alexandrina Council has explored various opportunities to enhance the region’s appeal to RV travellers. Following several community consultations and strategic planning efforts, Council has identified Mount Compass as a prime location for a dedicated RV Park.
Last year, a comprehensive scoping study and community engagement process confirmed overwhelming support for the development of an RV Park at 28 Victor Harbor Road, adjacent to Sam Court.
As a result, Council sought Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from capable business operators or community organisations interested in developing and managing the proposed RV Park. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to regional tourism, support local economic growth, and provide a valuable service to the travelling public.
Interested parties were invited to submit proposals outlining their vision, management model, and capacity to deliver a sustainable and community-aligned RV Park facility for Mount Compass.
