Middleton Storm Event Update - June 2025
We wanted to let you know that Council is holding a Workshop on Monday 23 June 2025 at 6pm where, among other topics, they will receive a briefing on Council’s progress on Middleton stormwater projects and the potential for advancing some activities in the draft Annual Community Plan 2025/26 (ACP) and draft Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP).
Through the community consultation process for the draft ACP and draft LTFP concerns have been raised regarding the timing of Council’s current and planned stormwater works for Middleton following the 2022 storm event.
All ACP and LTFP feedback has been provided to Council Members and submissions are currently being collated and grouped into themes to assist discussions at two upcoming Council Member Workshops and a Special Council meeting where the community feedback will be considered.
Community members are welcome to attend these meetings being held in the Council Chamber at 11 Cadell Street, Goolwa and observe from the gallery:
23 June 2025 - Council Workshop
6:00pm Middleton Stormwater update - Council’s General Manager Infrastructure will provide an update to outline the work currently underway and present a proposal for advancing future Middleton stormwater projects into 2025/26
6:30pm Consideration of Community Feedback on the Annual Community Plan and Long Term Financial Plan including Middleton Stormwater options
30 June 2025 - Council Workshop
5:30pm Consideration of Community Feedback on the Annual Community Plan and Long Term Financial Plan
7 July 2025 - Special Council meeting
5:30pm Consideration of adoption of the Annual Community Plan and Long Term Financial Plan
