Long Vehicle Parking and Bus Zone in Strathalbyn

Over the last few years, many concerns have been raised by the community that there is a lack of parking available for longer vehicles such as RV’s, Buses and vehicles towing trailers/caravans.

Council has been investigating potential options for Long Vehicle Parking in both the Dawson Street and the Historical High Street precincts.

Complete the survey to give your opinion on the proposed choices, or suggest a different location and explain why you think it's better.

Council has identified three options for Longer Vehicle parking;

• The northern side of South Terrace between West Terrace and Dawson Street. Click to view map.

• The southern side of South Terrace between Catherine Street and Rankine Street. Click to view map.

• The eastern side of Sunter St adjacent to the Town Hall. Click to view map.

Proposed Bus Stop 

Concerns have also been raised for a lack of areas for buses to park within the High Street precinct and one new location has been identified on High Street adjacent the Kenny Blake Memorial. Click to view map.

Submissions regarding the proposed locations will be accepted by Council until 5 pm Friday 31 May 2024.
