About the project

Council is seeking feedback on a proposal to install two (2) dedicated long vehicle parking bays along Hutchinson Street, adjacent to the Goolwa Village Shopping Centre.

Council has reviewed opportunities for long vehicle parking options in Goolwa to reduce parking pressures for long vehicles, such as:

  • recreational vehicles (RVs)
  • buses
  • vehicles towing caravans, trailers or horse floats.

By enhancing access to the main shopping centre, Council aims to promote Goolwa as an RV-friendly destination and a welcoming stop for tourists travelling with long vehicles.

Council is also proposing to install two (2) dedicated long vehicle parking spaces at the Goolwa Wharf Precinct. This proposal is the subject of a separate community consultation that is currently underway.
