Project works for a Pedestrian Refuge Crossing on Brooking Street at the intersection of Dawson Street, Goolwa, is now complete.

This project included new concrete footpath sections, kerb ramps, handrails, signage, and new SA Power Networks lighting.

Council (with the support of the Department of Infrastructure and Transport) is proposed to construct two pedestrian crossings facilities on Hays Street, Goolwa. Pedestrian movement in this area is particularly busy during peak summer periods, market days and during events held in the Goolwa Wharf Precinct. The two pedestrian crossing locations were identified adjacent Porter Street following a pedestrian, traffic and parking survey and report. Project funding was subject to budget endorsement.
