Consultation has concluded

Alexandrina Council is considering the development of a dedicated off-leash dog park in Strathalbyn to provide the community with an open space area that is safe and convenient to use.


We welcome your feedback via the survey below.

Dog parks provide a safe and secure environment where dogs can play, exercise and socialise off-leash with their human companions. Dog parks also create opportunities for recreation and socialising for everyone.


Typically dog parks include off-street parking, perimeter fencing, separate lawn areas for off-leash play and exercise, seating and shelter and drinking fountain and bowl.


Your feedback will assist Council prepare a future concept design for a dog park on the proposed Strathalbyn site.


Alexandrina Council, in line with its A2040 Community Strategic Plan, is committed to facilitating open spaces which connects its community and encourages social and physical wellbeing.
