About the Committee

Alexandrina Council invites individuals to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) to participate as members on our Climate Emergency and Environment Section 41 Committee.

The Committee’s principal role is to advise Council on the implementation of Council’s Climate Emergency Declaration, its Environmental Action Plan, and associated Council plans, strategies, and policies.

The Committee will be working collaboratively with Council Administration and will help set key priorities in the Committee’s work plan; playing an active role in the implementation of key priorities identified in the work plan; and being accountable for the implementation of these key priorities.

First Nations People and younger community members/students are strongly encouraged to apply.

Membership of the Committee consists of two Council Member representatives, one Independent Chairperson, and up to eight members of the community. The Council Member Representatives are Cr Milli Livingston and Cr Lou Nicholson.
