Since November 2011, we have been working with you to review our current Alexandrina Council Community Strategic Plan 2009-13.
- Phase 1 saw nine community workshops on a vision for 2040, what works in our community and what needs improving;
- Phase 2 saw four community forums with keynote speakers, emerging themes and challenges; and
- Phase 3 – the final consultation phase - is a chance to for you to see what has emerged to date and contribute further.
The proposed Draft 2013-23 Community Strategic Plan is based on research and your input!
We have had over 1800 engagements to date - that is occasions on which community members and key stakeholders have attended meetings, viewed the documents online and over 1000 have attended school assemblies and workshops.
It doesn't stop there - we need your feedback during Phase 3.

Alexandrina Council - creating our Vision 2040 together!

Online and public forums will be run during late November and early December on topics decided by our community via the My Say consultation website.
Over three separate days in September, more than 110 staff, field staff, executives and elected members attend Vision2040 workshops (representing approximately 60% coverage of Alexandrina Council).
Participants exhibited strong engagement, pride in and passion for the Alexandrina and Southern Fleurieu area - and its people and townships.

Alexandrina Council approves review of its community strategic plan

At is meeting of 19 September 2011, Council resolved to proceed with:
- a 14 month review including three phases of public consultation
- creation of a Vision2040 statement
- expansion of the existing community strategic plan from four to ten years with the next iteration being 2013-23
- commencement of visioning workshops
