Consultation has concluded

Council is seeking feedback on a revised Tree Management Policy and Procedure. Council’s current Tree Management Policy was adopted in 2015 and fell due for review in late 2017. A summary of the main changes proposed to the existing policy is provided below.

The Tree Management Policy and Procedure provide a guiding framework for the planting, maintenance, conservation and removal of all trees on Council land which includes parks & gardens, urban biodiversity reserves, rural reserves, urban streets and rural roads.

Consultation closes at 5.00pm Friday, 5 October 2018.

Next Steps:

Community feedback received during public consultation will be used to inform and refine the final Tree Management Policy & Procedure.

We aim to have the final Policy endorsed by Council no later than December 2018.

Following adoption of the new Policy, updated supporting information, including information brochures and application forms, will be published on Council’s website.
