Community consultation is now closed
Council is considering new ‘Drop Zone’ locations for SA Skydiving. The operators of SA Skydiving wish to expand their current skydiving agreement with Council to include more flexibility in landing times and consider additional landing locations at Goolwa, Hindmarsh Island and Port Elliot. The operators have requested to utilise a portion of:
Bashams Beach, Port Elliot
Sugars Beach, Hindmarsh Island
Barrage Road Reserve, Goolwa
Horseshoe Bay, Port Elliot (Horseshoe Bay for special events only).
The proposed drop zone locations and times are available to view here
Please note that SA Skydiving currently has permission for a drop zone at the Bashams Beach location only, with a maximum 60 per annum drop quota. The current proposal for drops per year noted as TBA, is reflective of SA Skydiving's request for this number to be unrestricted.
