Conservation Practice
This category recognises a commitment the conservation of a State or Local Heritage Listed Place or a building/place, either urban or rural, which has historic value or character relevant to the town or district. The aim of conservation is to retain the cultural significance of a place.
Projects will be assessed based on how the works conserve the heritage integrity of the place/building as well as their contribution to the streetscape. Any local partnerships fostered/supported (eg. the use local stone masons/trades) will also be considered.
A project can be nominated in one of two sections within this category:
a) Small Scale Projects/Works
For project/works with a total cost not exceeding $50,000.
b) Large Scale Projects/Works
For project/works with a total cost exceeding $50,000.
