The following outcomes were resolved at the 20 May 2024 Council Meeting:
That the question be adjourned to a future Council meeting, pending further consideration at a Council Information Session.
Public toilets provide an essential community facility to support the well-being of our residents, tourists and businesses and promotes Liveable Alexandrina through supporting the use and accessibility of the Council’s open and public spaces.
Council currently has 38 locations serviced with public toilets with a total capital value of $5.7 Million. Much of the stock is aging and in average to poor condition.
A Draft Public Toilet Management Plan has been developed to provide a plan for the ongoing renewal and provision of public toilet facilities across the Council area.
The Draft Public Toilet Management has been prepared based on initial feedback provided by the community during August – September 2023. The consultation sought views from the community on the current standard and provision of our existing public toilets. The Public Toilet Management Plan was developed in consideration of the feedback provided.

Council’s My Say website utilises the software platform Granicus. Data collected via My Say’s engagement tools is handled in accordance with Council’s Privacy Policy and the Granicus Privacy Policy
