Consultation has concluded.

Alexandrina Council is seeking community input to help develop a Master Plan for the Goolwa Beach car park and environs. The Master Plan will guide Council’s management of the area over the next 20 years.

The overarching objectives of the master planning process are to:

  • increase the functional capacity of the site to accommodate current and future user needs;

  • resolve current and potential user conflicts;

  • balance the functional and aesthetic aspects of the site with respect for the local landscape character; and

  • minimise adverse impacts on natural assets and cultural heritage values.

The Master Plan will incorporate a site analysis and concept design that considers and resolves:

  • cultural significance

  • public safety

  • environmental stewardship

  • traffic management

  • infrastructure requirements

  • built facilities

  • site management and maintenance

We want to hear from you about anything in relation to the Goolwa Beach car park and surrounding area that you think the Master Plan should consider. You might like to comment on:

  • activities and experiences you enjoy or value;

  • what works well now and what could be better;

  • key issues and opportunities;

  • your ‘one big idea’ for the car park and/or surrounding area;

  • anything else you think its important for us to know about Goolwa Beach car park.
